Announcing the Promotions of Lisa Xu (Principal) and Jack Cohen (Vice President)

At FirstMark, like any business, our people are our greatest asset. So it is with great pride that we celebrate the promotions of two FirstMark team members: Lisa Xu to Principal on our investing team and Jack Cohen to Vice President on our Platform team.

Since joining FirstMark in 2018, Lisa Xu has proven to be a thoughtful investor and relentless supporter of the founding teams she has worked with, including Loop, Workit Health, and CognitOps just to name a few. Prior to FirstMark, Lisa spent time as a Product Manager at NYC-based venture-backed startups Handy (acquired by ANGI Homeservices) and Peloton (NASDAQ: PTON). She also worked as a consultant at Bain & Company. As a Principal at FirstMark, Lisa will continue to focus on identifying and partnering with exceptional early stage founders in the consumer space.

Similarly, Jack Cohen — who also joined FirstMark in 2018 — has been an exceptional builder of FirstMark’s Platform, our resources and networks that accelerate founders through access to talent, customers, and expertise. In particular, Jack has helped scale FirstMark’s Guilds, private communities for tech executives, to an institution that touches 1,000+ executives globally. Prior to FirstMark, Jack ran social and community at Blue Apron (NYSE: APRN), growing their communities from 75K to 2.5M members in just two years. As a Vice President at FirstMark, Jack will continue to focus on creating meaningful impact for our portfolio and the broader startup community through 100+ events per year and an integrated content strategy.
